In fact, I found them easier to use than my previous pair because the gripping end is slightly larger and does a better job of holding food securely when turning burgers, sausages or larger cuts of meat. The build quality is also noticeably better. The stainless steel feels thicker and more substantial, with none of the flex that cheaper tongs often suffer from. They have a premium feel in the hand and look like they will last for years of regular use. Another thing I appreciated was the locking mechanism. On my old pair it was always a bit hit and miss.
