It will however trip the breaker and stop current flow through the circuit in the case of a dead short to ground! **Q: This pretty much works on any standard automotive fuse circuits?** A: The #8005 Fuse Saver comes with an adapter to use on standard and mini fuse sizes which can be commonly found in commercial vehicles. **Q: does this kit work on relays too?** A: No, this kit is a circuit breaker to replace fuses. Now if you are trying to isolate a leg of the circuit you could add an inline fuse holder. I have never needed to go to that length though. For testing a relay I'd suggest the Power Probe 319FTC-RED Test Light and Voltmeter.
