We have medium pile carperts, you have to work at it to get the results but, with effort and patience, you will achieve fantastic results. This is because it gets deep into the carpet and so you do need to cover the area a couple of times to hoover up everything it pulls up. Switching to the shampooer. Remove the dust bag. Add water to the tank with shampoo, I also added some oxy cleaner, same stuff I put in the washer. Make sure all the water pipe connectors are attached. Switch on with the power button and then press the pump button. This will release the water onto the carpet. Work in sections. Switch off the pump button and you are now hoovering up the water into the dirty water tank. The machine itself is bulky, I also found it noisy, but it is light and easy to move around. The results are amazing for both hoovering and cleaning. The comprises are, going back to a bag for the dust. I have had a bagless for years but, I paid 4x the price for the same result. Also, its not a quick vacuum cleaner because its pulling so much out of the carpet. It's very satisfying though. When cleaning, it's hard work. That said, it's worth the effort. Carpet is now back to looking as it did when it was first fitted. Overall, fantastic machine, great price, superb results but be prepared to work with it and put some effort in.
