Thus the increase in price. It's worth the extra cash IMO. **Q: where is it made** A: China **Q: What kind of washers does this use?** A: They are nylon or Teflon. Some low-friction synthetic. **Q: does it accidentally open while in pocket?** A: Has not for me. How ever when pulling from pocket the wave hook can be engaged and open the knife. This is a feature you have to practice using. If you want it to open fast on the way out you pull back. If not you pull forward more to keep it from engaging. Great knife for the money.
