It is light weight but the design makes it sturdy enough for residential use. It's a good buy when one considers everything is included except the plumbers putty to install the sink drain. Really a great economical choice for the situation. My second order arrived damaged to to shipping mishandling and poor welding construction. The top mounting tube sockets are thin metal that is only spot welded. I returned the unit but considering Amazons very slow refund I'm unhappy! I ordered a third unit only to save time and get my apartment ready otherwise I would have found a SS table and installed a sink in it myself.
