Review: A Must-Have for Richer Colors and Removing Glare - I bought this PROfezzion 58mm circular polarizing filter (CPL) for my Canon kit lens, and it has instantly become an essential part of my camera bag. I've used it to take photos through windows and of water surfaces, and it cuts through the glare perfectly, allowing me to see what's underneath. It also removes the harsh white reflections from leaves and foliage, making the greens in nature scenes look much more vibrant and saturated. The second biggest win is deepening blue skies and improving contrast. On a sunny day, rotating the filter makes the blue in the sky "pop" and makes white clouds stand out dramatically against it. It adds a level of depth to landscape photos that is very difficult to achieve in editing software later. The filter feels well-made, with a slim metal frame that shouldn't cause vignetting (dark corners) on my standard lens. The front thread allows me to still use a lens cap, which is a great plus.
