When I opened the box i found that the bottom shelf had been damaged with a chunk of wood missing from the corner and side meaning it could not be fitted. One of the legs was also damaged with a deep dent and scratch. As I did not find a way of being able to contact the seller thru desertcart I left a review saying the item was damaged during delivery. I had a very quick response from the company apologising for the condition the item arrived in and an offer to replace. They were quick to respond, courteous, kind and thoughtful and a replacement item was received very quickly. I cannot praise their customer service highly enough. As for the item itself, it is a really lovely piece of furniture in its own right and is just as pictured and described. There are no sharp edges in need if any attention and was easy to assemble. It’s robust in the shower and doesn’t move when sat on and we are really pleased with the product. It's a bit big to use in an oversized bath shower - it does fit in the tub, but is as high as the top of the bath - perhaps a good thing? I don't really know. I'm not yet at the needing to sit down in the shower stage - I'm just preparing in advance. But it is a sturdy, good looking stool - perfect as a step stool, plant stand, extra seating, or what have you.
