It is a simple yet effective device which provides good level of comfort. It can be used when you want to sit up in bed and you can choose from six angles so that you can find the one which is ideal suited to you. The back rest can be used by anyone who wants more support when relaxing in bed but it is particularly useful for someone who spends a lot of time in bed due to illness or injury. The support is an economical and affordable alternative to a pillow lifter or mattress elevator and offers the position when you wish to eat, drink, read, watch television or simply sit up for a while. The frame of the back rest is made from sturdy, white, coated metal while the back rest section is formed from blue mesh type fabric. Also included is a padded headrest which attaches with hook and loop fastening and can therefore be removed if necessary. The back rest is very simple to set up. It is supplied folded flat and all you need to do is open out the frame by pulling the two sections away from one another. There is a metal section attached to the front part of the frame which slots into one of six cut out half circles on each side of the base frame section. This creates the angle of the back rest which can be adjusted until you achieve the position. The angle adjusts between 20 and 75 degrees through the six possible positions. Easy folding and easily portable. Because the back rest folds up, it is ideal to take with you when travelling or going on holiday and is portable enough to easily fit in a suitcase or car boot. The height of the back rest measures 600 mm (23.5 inch) and it is 570 mm (22.5 inch) wide. The depth of the back rest is 500 mm (19.5 inch) and the maximum user weight is 20st (127kg). The back rest can be wiped clean if necessary. Product Weight: 2.6kg. About NRS Healthcare NRS Healthcare supply a number of products designed to increase comfort and safety in the bedroom.
