She is not a "picky" eater per say, but she refuses any medicine, or anything she deems a med in a big stressful way, so the vet weaned her off of the meds and she improved even though she wasn't getting ANY suppliments! Well, I have her now and she's been on my DIY suppliments for 1 week and Heiro alone for 4 days now, almost 2 weeks now. Her coat always sheds beautifully, but it is double, possibly triple, a normal winter coat. When she has stress related sweats, in the winter, her coat takes forever to dry. Every day this week I have gone out there, there is less and less sweat to brush out, so there is a steady daily improvement, even on the Heiro! And with Heiro there are no real measurements. No grinding of seeds fresh daily, and herbs, or adding magnesium because its all already in the Heiro mix. Insulin Resistance is genetic as well as human made with the concentrated feeds. I know exactly how to care for this now and had a colt who is now 12 and been on it for 10 years with no signs and results have been negative. Sadly the first one had to be put down due to being treated incorrectly, second one they did a dex suppression test and cause her to founder (they were unaware at the time dex suppression will do this with IR horses and why it is called practicing medicine), the third one is the colt I mentioned, and I currently have a mare that is full sister to the colt who is also on HEIRO with no issue. This keeps their weight in check, provides the needed omega fatty acids, combined with Enrich 32 and some Alfalfa does the trick. You need the high protein and lysine in alfalfa to work with the HEIRO. **Q: Is this a 4 part process** A: 1 of their tiny scoops once a day for our Arabian horses that run about 900 lbs. This product seemed to help improve the founder of one of the horses. The feet were no longer palpably hot while on this product. The hoof wall started to heal nicely. The willow's bark probably helped with pain. We do not understand what you mean by 4 part process. We are about to use it on another horse who seems to keep gaining weight no matter what we do. We are going to try Hiero on this horse to try to regulate the horse's blood glucose and as a preventative against laminitis/founder.
