They eat every last crumb. This is one of the few things all my dogs love enough to be totally focused on while they have them. The review ask about smell and flavor. They stink, bad, when wet and chewed up. When there chewing them I keep thinking someone had an accident they smell that bad. But they must taste good because as I said this is hands down my dogs favorite treat. The smell isn't so bad I wouldn't keep buying them for my dogs but a wet chewed on hoove does have a unique odor for sure. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Loved Now We are Just Friends *by C***L on Reviewed in the United States on June 27, 2017* UPDATE: The last two bags I have purchase have broken into sharp shards in minutes of the boys chewing on them. I have to clean the shards up quickly or they eat them and then throw them back up. I took two stars away for this as it is a danger to the dogs mouth, throat, especially when they throw it up, and intestinal track. I am hesitant to buy another bag but they were such good chews, but something has changed.My dogs absolutely love these, I have three dogs and two are heavy chewers but these keep them happy. They are good size, light smell (read further) and I am repeatedly happy, cost more than some but my babies are worth it. My Golden mix has sensitive teeth so I boil all of them and let them air dry. This helps with the the breakage, texture (not so sharp after they chew), the smell (not all of it), and if there happened to be bacteria or salmonella (vet said it's common with chews) then I've just killed it too. My dogs are all the better for these chews and sensitive teeth don't seem to be an issue. Try freezing with peanut butter in them (eat outside...your dog will love you. ### ⭐ Brittle, dangerous, lasted only an hour, rather than weeks *by M***R on Reviewed in the United States on April 3, 2017* I have purchased hooves from the pet supply store many times in the past, as they provide long-lasting chewing entertainment for our large dogs. THESE, HOWEVER, are HORRIBLE!As soon as the package arrived, I handed them out to our two adult labs, and our 11-week old lab puppy, and sent them outside in the sun. I was shocked to go back out 20 minutes later to discover that two of the hooves had already been broken, and the adult dogs were chewing on smaller pieces.Later that day I gave each of the dogs another hoof indoors, as they had left those outside – I didn't really take a good look at the damage they had done to them outside. Once again, they soon had those broken up, and were chewing small pieces – the puppy was picking up the small pieces and eating them, which soon had his tummy upset. My bigger concern was the pieces getting packed up in their intestines.We have been going around picking up small pieces of gnawed hoof for a day and a half now, as they keep stashing them. I don't have a problem with them eating very small pieces – as long as they can't eat THE WHOLE THING in a day, much less in a couple of hours. Always before, hooves have been gnawed on for at least two weeks, and we eventually throw out the gnawed things – still hoof-shaped, though smaller – so we don't have to step on them anymore.I have to think this is caused by the processing of these particular hooves, and I definitely will NOT order again.
