Review: Male size 8 feet - Bought to help recover from a really bad ankle sprain. I fell from height onto loose cobbles and managed to give myself a nasty eversion sprain. I now can only walk any distance with a walking stick. Sizing:- I have normal width size 8 feet. These fit perfectly (I bought the lest medium size). I am 5ft10” 90kg so have fairly substantial (gorgeous looking though) calves and still have room in the brace. Pros:- I tried another expensive lace up brace and this is better for fit and effectiveness. The lace up ones are probably better for prevention rather than a cure in my opinion. This one gives good support and stops excessive rotation on the joint. It’s fairly comfortable. I have worn it under lightweight leather walking boots as well as normal shoes. It certainly helps with pain relief and extends my walking range by at least double. It’s also easy to put on. Seems to be made from good quality materials. Cons:- it can rub above your ankle if you are too active in it but it’s not awful. This is affected by what shoes you wear and what activity you are doing with it so you can’t really blame the brace. This splint is lightweight and very effective. It enables me to wear more than one pair of shoes. I am post a lower leg break and initially the break zone was sore but it settles. owing to the very hot weather recently I bought a pack of cheap tubigrip and cut into sections to wear under the splint to keep it clean and stop the seams from rubbing my skin. I would highly recommend this splint. Only disappointment was paying for express delivery and expecting it the next day,only for the company to sent it via a courier the next working day which was three days later after the weekend. Firstly it would take a long time to dry. Had they put it with the Royal Mail next day it would have arrived quicker. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good product *by L***S on 4 April 2026* I fell down the stairs and sprained my ankle, it hurt like hell to walk on, I invested in this brace, mainly because the one I wanted wouldn't arrive for another week, so I decided on this one. It was a struggle to get on first time especially when your ankle is swollen, but i managed to get it on, I slept with it on the first night for extra support as the duvet was hurting my ankle the previous night, in the morning it felt incredibly tight, I took it off so give my ankle some relief, I did have sore marks up the back of my heel, but im guessing that was because i dont wear socks. that's when I realised how well it worked, without it on my ankle as very painful again every time I moved it.
