I have another keyless door knob from MiLocks that works well so sent an email to the company explaining the problem. Did not get a response, but 3 days later received a replacement for the inside lock (the part that holds the batteries). Installed it and the it works great. Overall, very easy to install, easy to operate, feels heavy duty, works as advertised, and excellent customer service although the communication could be better. As mentioned, this is my second MiLocks keyless entry and we're happy with the price and quality of the product.
