Review: Quality ACDelco battery - ACDelco batteries have always been reliable. You get what you pay for. Quality product. I was very impressed with how this battery was packaged for shipping. After testing for load and charge, fully charged and load rated higher than labeled. AGM batteries may cost a little more, okay more than a little, but worth the peace of mind. If you have a vehicle that isn't used regularly like a classic car or truck it's more forgiving. Do your research for the advantages of a AGM battery. Review: Poor manufacturing and failure under load - battery is heavy at 49.5 lbs. Not easy installation, also battery had manufacturing defect. Installed battery started up car several times. Next day when out to start the car and nothing, the battery just clicked as if no charge, investigation revealed a wobbly or loose negative ground within the battery. To return had to put it in its own packaging and take to UPS, no other choice. Poor value for the money, and luckily I was home and not somewhere when this battery failed. ## Features - Premium Power: Delivers robust starting and cycling performance built for demanding use, making this 12V vehicle battery a dependable replacement for drivers who need confident power in demanding conditions. - Built for Lasting Service: Features a leak-resistant pressurized valve system, robust envelope separators and high-density plate construction designed to support dependable performance and long-term automotive use. - Proven Quality: Choose the ACDelco Gold 78XAGM for trusted, GM-backed engineering, a 48-month warranty and application-focused construction that offers a high quality reliable battery compared to un-tested generic replacement batteries. - Confirm your Perfect Fit: Group 78 sizing supports the 2001-2003 Chevrolet Corvette. A conventional “flooded” battery contains a liquid electrolyte. The AGM design makes the battery spill-proof and maintenance-free. **Q: What are the benefits of an AGM battery?** A: An AGM battery’s maintenance-free design makes it spill-proof and resistant to vibrations. It also offers up to twice the life of conventional flooded batteries, along with more power and Cold Cranking Amps than conventional flooded batteries. **Q: Do I have to replace an AGM battery with another?** A: Yes. If the original-equipment battery was an AGM battery, it’s important to replace it with another. That also goes for “aux” batteries in vehicles with Start/Stop technology and other features with unique electrical demands. **Q: What is an “aux” battery?** A: Some vehicles use an auxiliary battery as a part of a more complex electrical system with increased demands. Typically, these “aux” batteries are used in vehicles with Start/Stop technology as well as hybrid vehicles and battery-electric vehicles. **Q: Can I use an AGM battery in a vehicle that did not originally come with one?** A: In most cases, the answer is yes. Most modern vehicles can accommodate an AGM battery as a direct replacement. Some vehicles, however, may have compatibility issues when it comes to the charging and voltage needs for an AGM battery. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Quality ACDelco battery *by B***. on November 26, 2025* ACDelco batteries have always been reliable. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Super fast shipping and well packaged *by M***E on January 4, 2025* All good. OEM packaging inside a Amazon box. Perfect. Just a hint for anyone replacing their auxiliary battery, replace the main battery at the same time. And if replacing your main battery, replace this ESS battery also. Double hit, I understand but one will destroy or greatly shorten the life of the other if not replaced as a pair. Lessons learned. ## Frequently Bought Together - ACDelco Gold 78XAGM 48 Month Warranty Premium AGM BCI Group 78 Battery - Dorman 60307 3/8 In.-16 x 3/8 In. Stud Length, 1-1/8 In.
