Review: Easy to Install and Use - I live in a somewhat remote rural area, and in a house with a number of downstairs windows and doors. For security reasons, and following some minor thefts in other properties nearby, I needed either a full alarm system or individual alarms for windows and doors. I saw these, and thought I would give them a try. There are two parts to each alarm - the main alarm and a smaller, magnetised piece that fits on either the door/window or door/window frame. The parts are attached to window/door by the supplied double sided sticky patch (this is a surprisingly strong bonding sticky patch, and I have no doubt it will remain in place for some time). The two pieces of the alarm shoould be attached in such a way that there is a narrow gap between the two parts. To turn the alarm on one simply moves the side switch on the main alarm piece down as far as it will go. (Moving it half way down gives a single chime when the door/window is opened). To turn off the alarm simply close the window/door, or physically move the switch to the 'off' position. The alarm itself is quite loud (110 - 120 decibels - I have seen both quoted in literature and on the box! Whatever it is, it's loud!) This package, with 12 alarms for £50 (the price I paid) has turned out to be good value as far as meeting what I needed, the ease of installation and the noise each alarm makes when triggered; as such I can recommend them. (These are my own thoughts on an item I have bought myself and found useful.)
