I used these to cut fired ceramic clay. It cut the 2000 degree clay almost as easy as slicing a piece of bread. So I don't see any reason why they wouldn't cut a common 16d or 8d nail. **Q: Can these be used to cut rubber hose?** A: You could, but it's going to cause melting & clog the wheel...a razor utility knife would be better advised for rubber cutting, in my opinion. **Q: Are these compatible with the Dremel 200 series?** A: These should fit the 200 series without any issues. I used them in my 300 rotary without any problem. **Q: Can I cut tiles in shower walls?** A: I am sure it can. Since it is tile it would work just as well.
