Review: Why buy an extender? - I've had a four node system for awhile now and have been extremely satisfied with it. I bought it basically because some WiFi enabled devices like security cameras and such that you keep outside the house really suc with WiFi reception. With these I was able to cover every nook and cranny inside and outside my house...or so I thought. Then I purchased a whole home standby generator with WiFi access. Boy is the WiFi bad on it. Instead of buying an extender I just purchased another one of these , shuffled the locations around a bit and I was good to go. I did go ahead and lock the generator down to one node and WiFi band just to make sure that wasn't also causing problems with the disconnects I was seeing. At any rate my connection to it has been solid since then so I'm happy.

My TP-Link Deco M5 snapped in perfectly and wrapping the power cord around the inside was easy. It is now hanging on the wall in an out of the way location and not taking up shelf space in my garage anymore. I should have done this a year ago.
