The Wavian USA JC0010YVS is a 10-liter authentic NATO-style Jerry can made from 0.9mm cold rolled steel, featuring a bayonet quick-release nozzle and a splash-proof breather system. It meets stringent EPA, DOT, CARB, and multiple international standards, ensuring legal use across North America. ## Description

10 Liter Jerry Can system includes spout and spout adapter. All of our Wavian Jerry Can systems come with an EPA, DOT, C. A. R. B. approved spout. We have also added an adapter since some gasoline powered vehicles need a smaller spout to fit in the filler. The adapter sits on the spout and needs to be turned clockwise until it snaps into place. The spout needs to be pushed to start the flow. The weight of the gasoline helps to open the spout to facilitate an easy quick pour. All Wavian products have a 2 year warranty against manufacturers defects. Fully paint-coated inside and outside. Have a full, internal breather pipe for splash-proof pouring. The highest quality Jerry can out there. Original Mil Spec. DOT, EPA and CARB approved. Comes with a safety spout attached and also has an adapter for vehicles with smaller filler receivers. Manufactured from 0. 9mm Cold Rolled Steel ( DC 04 EN 10130). Dual pan construction. Unique wide channel breather for better smoother pouring. Seam welded for extra strength. Three Handle Configuration. Leak-proof Bayonet Closure. Locking pin in cap. Strengthened hinge on cap to prevent accidental bending when closing. Cap designed to hold open when discharging the can. Review: Overall, these are excellent cans, as good as my salvage NATO cans. These are European (Latvian) made, high quality, 0.9mm steel Jerry cans, manufactured nearly identical to NATO military-issue cans. The only real difference is in the precise shape of the spout opening (NATO can spouts won't fit these), and NATO cans having a changeable content plaque on them since they're usually only in green. These are designed to entirely seal, just like a NATO can, when properly closed. These are NOT cheapo, screw-on plastic child safety-capped containers. These will NOT leak, even when placed on their sides. Noting a common complaint, this means the cans may become slightly pressurized when going up in altitude or when atmospheric pressure drops. This is normal. But it means that the cans may spit out some fuel when opened if they're placed such that fuel is against the cap, or if fuel is sloshing around in the can. Just set them flat or tipped back when opening and give the fuel a chance to stop sloshing inside the can. It can also help to open the can slowly at first to let inside and outside pressures equalize. Some civilian Jerry can colors are intended to correspond to contents, so these will come with labels that match the colors. Red is for gasoline. Yellow is for Diesel. Blue is for kerosene. NEVER put water into any fuel can as it will react with the liner. I believe that Wavian has moved to blue plastic for their water cans. The newer safety spouts are mandated by US law. They actually work fairly well if you can lift the whole can with one hand and operate the spout with the other hand (easier with a 10-liter). But they're a PITA on a 20-liter. The base part of the spout is still steel. But the upper safety mechanism part is plastic with a metal spring inside.
Review: Great, high-quality diesel jerry can made by Wavian in Europe. I detest the complex and difficult to use filler hose assembly, and found the old-fahsioned, simple filler attachment online here at desertcart. The cost was too high for this size can, but much of that cost can be attributed to the complicated filler hose assembly. I recommend this jerry can, but if you can find the can without the filler tube assembly, I'd recommend buying that instead, because the complex one will end up in your trash!

Great, high-quality diesel jerry can made by Wavian in Europe. I detest the complex and difficult to use filler hose assembly, and found the old-fahsioned, simple filler attachment online here at Amazon. The cost was too high for this size can, but much of that cost can be attributed to the complicated filler hose assembly. I recommend this jerry can, but if you can find the can without the filler tube assembly, I'd recommend buying that instead, because the complex one will end up in your trash!
