I'd been using New Wash for a few weeks before this, which takes me over 30 mins just to apply and thoroughly rinse out. While I loved the resulting texture, no one has that kind of time. Mother Dirt is more like a regular shampoo in terms of sudsing and quick application and rinsing. It feels crazy dry though. Combing my hair out afterwards is pretty difficult, but I haven't resorted to using a detangler since I want to evaluate this by itself.When I let this air dry, the feel was a bit odd. Extremely dry and straight hair but quick to get oily again, and did not respond well to dry shampoo. This morning I washed and blow-dried my hair, and it's beautiful. Feels very soft and "healthy", and I don't see much frizz or anything like that. So I'll probably continue to use this whenever I intend to blow-dry my hair, and I'll use New Wash when I intend to air dry my hair and have the time to spend an hour in the shower. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.0 out of 5 stars Great clarifying shampoo, but too drying without conditioner. *by Z***B on Reviewed in the United States on December 4, 2016* For something that's supposed to be gentle and natural, it really caused my scalp to be super dry and itchy and flaky. I had to go back to my old routine. My scalp has always been sensitive and finicky so it's probably just me. I searched high and low before I got a routine that sort of works. I had high hopes for this but it didn't work out. I'm no longer have the original packaging to send it back so I think I'll use it as a body wash in combo with the bacteria spray instead.Update 12/10/2016:The company Mother Dirt contacted me and gave me a refund which was really amazing of them. I have since tried the shampoo again and realized that it's a really great clarifying shampoo. When I used my conditioner regularly, i.e. not excluding the scalp like Mother Dirt recommends, my hair comes out beautiful and my scalp comfortable. That's why I increased the star rating. Still not 5 because by applying conditioner onto the scalp, I killed all those AO+ bacterias. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Shampoo great, bottle worthless *by R***B on Reviewed in the United States on March 31, 2017* I very much liked the first bottle of shampoo I received. I have MCS, so the most important thing to me was the lack of fragrance. I had no reaction to the shampoo at all. The next thing I liked was that I could go without conditioner--big money and time saver & really nice for travel. The major problem I had was when I took my second bottle on vacation. I hadn't used this bottle yet because my first bottle lasted quite a bit longer than I expected--also a good thing. However, the pump did not work at all. I couldn't get the shampoo out of the bottle so it was worthless.Shampoo would get an easy 5 stars if it was in a bottle that worked and that allowed the user to see how much shampoo was left, but it doesn't matter how good the shampoo is if it can't be used.***I originally wrote the above review with a rating of only 2 stars. However, the company contacted me and went above and beyond to make things right so I changed the review to 5 stars.
