It’s in a place that’s awkward to back my pickup to in order to get the trailer on the ball. I have a compact backhoe, though, and this is easier for me to maneuver to the trailer hitch. However, the backhoe doesn’t have a tow-ball, but it does have a welded hook on the front-loader. With this soft nylon shackle, it’s now an easy job for me to get it around the trailer hitch, then over the hook, so I can tow the boat out where the truck can take over. In order for the shackle to hold, you need to get the knot through the loop at the other end. The nylon is stiff at first, but I expect it to soften with use.There are all kinds of uses I can see for a shackle like this.
