I've never used any like this. For big orange extension cords?** A: No directions, not too satisfied with product very loose connection **Q: Is there any evidence that these are UL listed?** A: Interesting observation. They DO NOT have any listings. I have similar ones from the big box store that have UL stamps. **Q: Will these work with a 12 guage extension cord?** A: I think they will. I have only connected 16 gauge but there was plenty of room on the screw terminals for a larger wire size. The hole through the cord end may be snug depending on the thickness of your cord jacket. The hole does have slots to allow larger outside diameters. Hope this helps. **Q: Well they work with 10 gauge cord** A: I would say no. That way I can get the exact length and gauge wire needed. These plugs are a bit bulky, but also heavy duty. My only issue is that attaching the bare copper wire to the electrodes can be time consuming. Once built they connect nicely and are sturdy.
