It is not common knowledge that you can assemble your own LED fixtures and do a superior job with some moderate to advanced electronics and micro-controller knowledge. Even if your an novice, Instructables is a great help. I assembled a 24 LED fixture (8 in series,3 rows parallel) that ran off 24v with a 60% duty cycle that was brighter than any light bulb I could ever find and even at 60% it left purple spots in my vision in addition to lighting up the whole room. It was less than 2 inches long and less than .75inches wide!These also have a great operating range! I can visually see and use them from around 2.3-3v and full power onto 3.5vdc. Plain standard 3v from two AA batteries is perfect for each of these LEDS. I power some homemade flashlights from a 2.75v Supercapacitor and they more than operate all the way down to 2v. (Fed with 2 solar panels to a basement 2.75 regulated to the cap and LEDs in parallel)This might be a lot for a normal person to read so here is the skinny-3W Each@2.0-2.5VDC (Excellent response over 1W LEDS and other 3W LEDs I have tested)-White response, but not the blue >4500k that hurts eyes nor the yellow of <2700K (Perfect response for anything but a bedroom)-They comes in a nice tray and are well packed normally-NEGATIVE IS MARKED ON THE LED!!!! (Why doesn't everyone do this????)-Center heatsink tab is not electrically hot so it can be used as cooling (I have never had to cool mine and 0/50 have failed with 1000 hours use)Cons:Seller is a bit confusing to work with (was trying to get larger quantities)My case had come loose and LEDS were everywhere in the case, but not in the boxWish the leads were a bit shorter so I could solder them together without having to clip for an hourWish they followed the Flat side trick that most every LEDS do (this is not uncommon on the bead lights)Always seem to be out of stock or only have 3 left.... (I keep buying them as they become available)Pricey(for the quantity and availability....) (But not so much that you feel ripped off)Overall a good product, but know what you are getting into before you undertake a project with them.
