**Q: Will this work on shielded bearings?**
A: This works on repack-able bearings only.  
Sealed bearings or those with rubber dust shields are not repack-able.

**Q: i can not get the botton out?**
A: You pull the whole thing out, top and bottom, then when it's out, separate them (un-screw) and put bearing in and screw it together.  I hope thats what you were asking.

A bit messy, but when isn't packing bearings. Worked vary well. I just put it in vise and compress it as grease was cold and thick. It did wipe clean afterwards fairly easy, ready for next job.
