You can put the gel in the trays and put them on for 5-10-15 minutes.Or you can choose to paint the gel directly onto your teeth and wear the trays over. **Q: Can you do it at home or need to see a dentist?** A: Just make sure this is the set that comes with the moldable mouth trays. If not you can order those from Amazon too.. and then just order refills as needed. Pretty easy to use... just follow the directions. No you do not need to see a dentist unless you have other teeth issues or want to loose 500 bucks. **Q: How large are each of the 5 syringes included?
