I then cut them to size to fit the openings. They were thin but had great weight so I didn’t worry about them bending while I was cutting them and know they will hold up. I placed the original glass behind them to hold everything in place and it turned out even better than I had hoped. The product came in perfect condition and was easy to cut with tinsnips. The quality was truly top notch. I apologize that the photo is hard to see what I am so happy it’s how the end result turned out. Good Luck on your project. piglet **Q: is it paintable?** A: anything is paintable when you prime it first. Although I bet a 2 in 1 prime spray paint will do a good job. I would sand it down a little first to help to hold on to the paint with some grit. **Q: How stiff is it? Will it hold its shape if I bend it into a napkin holder on a table? Or will it flatten back out under its own weight?** A: I bent mine to cover an open area over a small electric base heater. It's held its shape well **Q: what are the hole sizes? Would it work to keep mice out?** A: I won't say it will definitely keep mice out but the small size of the holes and the sharp edges of the perforations probably will.
