Using a DRS for climbing, two of these KwikSafety chokers were used , one as safety fall arrest and intermittent stops while the other unit was shuttled up and up like a mobile friction saver. carried my weight without slipping down the tree trunk. On my way up I added anchor bolts for additional fall arrest but were never needed.

A: It is 3” wide. Also, the webbing is 34” long and overall 40” long when including the metal rings.

A: You are pretty close to the weight restriction of the harness, but there are heavy duty harnesses,  and harnesses with a higher weight capacity for you. The best part of Amazon, is that if it doesn't fit you, it is super easy to return. 
But read the descriptions and get one suited for your size. They are supposed to fit tight, but you don't want to max out the weight restrictions
