I followed the directions exactly, and had no problem applying the actual paint. Unfortunately, the paint is water, basically. We have chips on a vertical door surface. The paint did not adhere to the chipped area, but rather ran onto the good paint surface below, which is not what anyone wants. Naturally, what little paint that remained in the chip was to thin to cover the chip. Perhaps the pen works with darker colors, but pearl white did not work for me. Review: Poor coverage, maybe dried out contents. - I couldn't coax enough color out of the tip, so I would describe it as too thin and transparent. But then, it may be the fault of the user. **Q: Would this be the color for a 2014 Kia Sorento burgundy purple ?** A: Unless your color was noted Sangria it’s not the right color. **Q: Will this color perfectly match 2019 kia stinger auora black?** A: I got the Kia Sorento white and it matched perfectly. I’m not sure about the black, but if it says it’s the Kia black, then he’s it should. This pen is awesome. The best way to apply is to load a little paint on cardboard, then let it sit for a couple of minutes. Then dab the end of the brush into the paint and dab the nick on the car. Only works well with small dings. I had a chip about a quarter inch square and it took me three coats to get it covered.
