I have turned the gain level down to level 4 instead of at level 7. I think the recording would be improved by an external microphone. I put two Oasis albums on it & it plays them back fairly loud. I use it in MP3 only, I have had problems with WAV files in the past. This is a 64GB version but this is actually 58GB. It is about 20 hours of recording.
