**Q: Are these natural wood that is absolutely untreated?**
A: Because they are wood and are imported into the USA the wood they are required to be fumigated.

**Q: Have these been softened/conditioned to be ready for dye?**
A: According to the company they are ready for dye. I have not dyed them yet but I can attest to the fact that they are soft and pliable.

**Q: Has anyone used rhese as an essential oil diffuser?  Are they absorbent at all?**
A: You can use the flowers as a diffuser.  We have seen people use reeds with the flowers stemmed on top.
