Is this true?** A: No, it is pretty much impossible with this design. I have the 6000 size reel, which boasts the same claim or 30++ kg drag. I have tested it carefully, and tested it some more, and have never ever gotten over 9 kg drag (20lb). The main reason I bought this reel over something like a Penn Battle or Daiwa BG was for the drag, but yeah.... Does NOT live up to the claim about drag.
