**Q: When 2 devices are plugged in, is there 1 particular port that takes precedence and works? Or does none of the ports work in this setting?**
A: 1 work.

**Q: can i use same splitter for tv**
A: I am not sure about using for TV but as I found out when you use a splitter it actually slows the level of information travel. I may use it where the loss is not so significant but I could not use it in the application I originally purchased for.

**Q: I am only using this for PoE, no data. Will both female ends be powered on the proper pins?**
A: Save your money.  Doesn’t work

**Q: will this allow two computers to connect to each other? - 2nd PC does not have to access internet**
A: A lot of people have purchased this to add another port to a router, ethernet switch or other networking device. This will not work for that because the switch, router or whatever networking device connect has to give each device connected a unique MAC or IP Address.
It cannot tell devices apart that share the same port. What happens is you end creating what is known as a "collision domain".
Best analogy is it's like 2 cars going different directions on the same 1 lane road.
What I use them for is duplexing microphones on two way radios, an analog use. They're good for that.
