Review: If you need 1-inch grommets, get these ones! - I originally bought a different set of "1-inch" grommets. I drilled 1-inch diameter holes but the grommets were too loose. So next, I wrapped tape around the grommet to make the fit tighter, but the grommet material is so slick, the tape would not stay on for very long. I was thinking of trying to glue the grommet in place when I returned to desertcart to research other options. After a lot of searching, I came across these ones, which are slightly larger than 1-inch. I figured it was worth a try. They are perfect. They fit in a 1-inch snuggly and don't pop out. Don't waste your time doing your own research. Just buy these and be confident that they will work with a 1-inch hole.

**Q: Does this item prevent a lighting charger or usb c charger from falling through the top of a desk feom gravity?**
A: I believe it would prevent a wire, such as a phone charger cord, from falling through the hole that is capped by this plug. Please first verify that the plug and hole in the desk are the same diameter.

**Q: Can you fit a 3 prong power plug through this?**
A: The inner space of the grommet is diameter 21mm (0.82"), guess most of those plug dimension are bigger than that. So Should can not going through unless it's smaller than 0.82". Also it's a flexible item, it is possible if plug is slightly larger than that (1-3mm larger).

**Q: Can these be used on an exterior wall?**
A: If you're asking whether they can be used on the outside of an exterior wall, the grommets are quite flexible and, over time, probably cannot prevent water, insect or rodent intrusion. I have used them on the inside of an exterior wall with exterior-grade fittings, sealants and insulation on the exterior side of the wall.

**Q: Can these be used outside for cable pass through the wall into the house?**
A: not typical use on this.

I figured it was worth a try. They are perfect. They fit in a 1-inch snuggly and don't pop out. Don't waste your time doing your own research. Just buy these and be confident that they will work with a 1-inch hole.
