This is the RESIDENTIAL Lock Down for HOME USE. Please do not confuse it with our Commercial version for Schools, Churches, and Commercial Facilities! Specs: Overall dimensions: 4-1/8″ length x 5-1/2″ width x 4-1/2″ height Floor Plate: 5-1/2″ length x 2-1/4″ width x 3/8″ thick Door Plate: 5-1/2″ length x 2-5/8″ width x 7/16″ thick Handle: 3-3/4″ length x 3/4″ width x 4-3/8″ height Made of solid, extruded 6000 series structural Aluminum Anodized finish for durability The Nightlock Barricade for Outward Swing Doors is easy to install and easy to use! The Nightlock Barricade, anchored securely to the floor, used the strength of the floor. It can withstand 1100 lbs of force! On a conventional entry door, an intruder can break a door window, reach in, and gain access to the door knob lever to open the door. But, with the Nightlock Barricade at the floor level, it is out of reach!

Review: Impressed with Quality and ease of installation - I bought this for my front door as we have a front door with a side light window. Those types of doors have a structural weak point if kicked in, not to mention breaking the glass to reach the locks. This device not only has made my door MUCH more sturdy, it is out of reach for a criminal to disengage. I think adding this and something like the frame and latch reinforcements are a no brainer for doors like mine. The quality seems high and very well made. I was able to drill through tile with a masonry bit and the entire installation took me about 25-30 min. Great Product.

We've purchased other security devices, for various areas of our home, depending on the type of door/window, etc.. This is one that impresses me the most. Simple design, easy to install, high quality and strength. They're not getting in! Way better than an alarm system to me, which only really helps after an invasion has happened. Great seller too.

A: Hi John, the Nightlock Residental Door Lock is available in the Nickel finish only.  You could have a local plater strip and re-plate it in another color.

I had a set of these on my old home. When I bought a new home, these were literally the first things I purchased for it. These things are STOUT! Simple to install, and will last a lifetime. They provide great piece of mind, especially if you have doors with windows. The price is a little steep, but they ARE well built. After mounting to your door, and floor, simply slide the L shaped piece in and out. NOTHING is getting through one of these without you knowing. If you take your families security as serious as I do, you wont be disappointed with these.
