Review: Anxiety Ridden Cat Approved for marking! - My kitty Goose is the only one of 4 indoor cats we have that has had a terrible problem of marking (he’s 10 this year and this began 2 years ago) in one room of the house. Same spot over and over, no amount of enzyme cleaner or cleaning of the area and direct spot cleaning has made him stop. I was at my wits end and didn’t know what other steps to take, before going to the vet (he has been cleared of any medical complications) for prescribed medication, I figured I’d give this a shot. I give him one pill in the morning mixed with a quarter of his squeezable treat and he has completely stopped, he is much calmer overall, and actually seems at peace now. There are no side affects aside from the first dose where he literally looked like he was stoned for about an hour lmfao that has since stopped, and he acts completely normal after his dose (for his weight is recommended two, I only give him one) and he doesn’t notice any taste or smell from it, he gets excited when I shake the bottle in the mornings to mix it for him! I highly recommend this product for people struggling with a cat who has high anxiety or marking issues! From a very relieved cat mom who was ready to throw in the towel.

**Q: Does it have a smell?**
A: Well, I just went and sniffed it for you. 😊 The capsules don’t, and I open them and pour the powder onto my cat’s wet food every morning. I’ve never noticed any smell. 

It’s made a difference for her. Been buying them at least a couple of years now.

**Q: Can can zylkene be safely given along with bach rescue remedy for pets?**
A: I don’t know the answer to your question. My vet recommended this for my pet so I would recommend you ask your veterinarian the question...

**Q: Are the capsules compostable?**
A: These capsules seem to be made of the same geletin based material as capsules for human supplements/medications. They melt away so I would say yes, they're compostable.

**Q: Can this be mixed with a bit of water and put into a syringe for oral administration?**
A: Probably.  I open the capsule, put it on my cat's wet food and add a bit of water.

I find this good for calming. It’s hard to say if this alone is helping but I do see a difference. It helps if it’s taken daily rather than as needed. It’s expensive so taking off one star.
