Both our Daytime "Invisible or Neutral" pigments and Day Visible Fluorescent pigments are made from the purest grade of Strontium Aluminates and come in a variety of crystal sizes. It is very important to get the right size crystals for the project you are working on. Then, I fired up a 35 watt UV LED bar (there's one on desertcart for 12 dollars and it's phenomenal) and a very low watt led bulb... each affected the color differently so I realized the glow is dependent on factors I'm still not 100% certain about (like light wave length). I also have a 3,000 lumen o-light flashlight that will get this white. If you then shake it around (in the bag) you mix the powder that did not get bombarded with photons and the stuff that's glowing and you may then get different hues - that's NOT the powder working incorrectly. It DOES work and works quite well. The light they included, while super weak (and FREE), is in the correct spectrum and will make a pea-size spot glow white for a second. I am impressed and happy with what I got. Review: It does glow a white for human eyes, but not for my phone camera. - The UV light that came with it gave the powder a yellowish green tinge and I was a bit disappointed. Luckily, I have a decent UV source on hand and I charged it up with that for a minute or so and it took on an almost blue shade before becoming a decently consistent shade of white for a while. It must be clear when dry or the dye of the paint will cover the color change properties and nothing will happen. Hope this helps. Regards Glomania. **Q: If i mix this with white mica powder to have white resin in the light will it still glow in the dark?** A: If the white mica powder is added to a medium of sorts as long as it does not leach and is encapsulated it should not effect or cover the glow in the dark crystals, stopping them from charging and emitting their glow **Q: How much additive do I need for 2 quarts of latex eggshell paint?** A: Unfortunately any colored latex paint will NOT work with Glow in the dark pigment as the dye structure of the latex will encompass the crystals and inhibit them from charging and discharging.
