I measured it with a ruler. It is not 2". **Q: This might be an odd question...but would this work to secure a 1.0 inch drain hose for a washer?** A: I doubt this would secure the outlet if you are trying to use it to prevent it from popping out under pressure. The diameter of the base is just under 2". It is loose if you use a 2" hole saw.
