I wash it with water as it gets dirty sometimes, then let it dry and place it in the freezer. Remove it when needed. I know there’s no need to place it in the freezer, but it gives her better cooling effect. She gets very exited ones she sees her cooling pad after playing or long walks. So far, no wear and tear and product is still same quality as purchased. Really happy with this pad.
