I bought the stage model because I play at church. I use this for my saxophone microphone. I was using a cheaper (braided) cable that would “pop” when I touched the connector. Our sound guy said it was probably my mike. I have a shure, so I knew it wasn’t the mike. After changing the cable, the popping went away and the sound quality improved greatly. I know but have a tendency to forget that when connecting tens of thousands of dollars worth of microphones, mixing desks and outboard processing units, cheaping out on ANY of the cables through which they communicate is a terrible plan. I was having troubleshooting fits until I decided to go through my patch bay, cable by cable, and isolate the problem down to two crappy cables. I replaced then with Mogami Gold and voila! Strong signals when recording and noiselessness on playback.
