They are a thicker material and just "feel" less cheap than the others. I appreciated that they had a gold/brown color, so it wasn't the typical- black, red, green, blue. They held together well and were soft around your neck. If you are trying to decide, I recommend these! You do need to buy plastic holders for them but that's almost better because you can choose a higher quality set since they come apart.
