Dumb dumb me did not realize that the top is actually the bottom so disregard my wick placement. When I took it out of the mold, I was able to head the top of her head to get the metal wick holder out and pull the wick through.What I didn't realize is how weird it is that the Mermaid only covers one breast but maybe she was born with a weird nipple placement 🤷‍♀️. Before even trying the mold, I realized that it may not be possible to get the candle out as-is (and there were no reviews on doing so). I cut the side most of the way down and just stuck some tape there (although I dont think that did much) and used 2 rubber bands - held up great! No spilling.Her nose did not make it past conception but I may not have waited long enough as I'm an impatient crafter OR there could have been water left in that tiny space after I rinsed it out before using. I don't think the Tupac-like bullet holes in her arm have to do with my impatience though - maybe the glitter dispersion? Maybe more leftover water?Simultaneously, I poured a light water-blue wax and lavender wax on opposing sides of the mold and this is how it turned out. Her hair looks awesome and the rest is really incredible.
