Review: Great Space-Saving/Back-Saving Work Table - My husband and I purchased this table primarily for its height and size when working on our respective projects (quilt fabric cutting and layout; photographic processing). Given our space limitations, we liked that it folds down to a small size for storage and is easily moveable via casters. The table has so far met and even exceeded our expectations. It was shipped quickly (ordered May 16 and delivered to our local UPS store on May 18), and the components arrived in perfect condition. The table was shipped in one box, approximately 42" x 27" x 7"; it easily fit in the back of my small SUV with the back seat folded down. The table is heavy: 58 lbs., and required both of us to lift it. We were puzzled by some of the reviews. While it took us around 2 hours to assemble (kudos to reviewers who pulled this off single-handedly in an hour!), the instructions were easy to follow and we encountered no issues with assembly. Note: you'll need a Phillips screwdriver for attaching the eight hinges (a ratcheting screwdriver is helpful). While we've only had the table for a short time, it appears to be very sturdy and is well-made - although I wouldn't recommend putting a heavy piece of equipment on top. We (and our backs) are very pleased with this purchase.
Review: How to Fix the Casters when they FAIL - Yes, this table is great. Easy to put together. Handy space-saving design and thoughtful features. All that is true. But let's be honest, the casters are the WORST. Why do manufacturers make great products but then cheap out when it comes to the wheels? I will never understand. The included casters don't roll well, to begin with, and the plastic inserts crack and allow the casters to bend. BUT I HAVE THE SOLUTION. If you want to fix the problem once and for all, allowing you to use a stronger caster and make your table sturdier and more maneuverable then here's how I did it. It was quick and easy. Here's what you need: 1. A hammer and perhaps a screwdriver to help hold the insert while you hammer. 2. Something to cut the plastic insert with - I used tinsnips - plus some sandpaper or a dremel or a butane lighter which you'll need to flatten the plastic inserts. 3. Outwater Square Double Star Metal Caster Insert with Thread DS71-326 Thread: 3/8-16, Outside Diameter of Tube: 1", Gauge of Tube: 16/18. desertcart link below (These come in a pack of 20. You can order smaller quantities directly from the mfg website, but with shipping for the six you'll need it's about $25, or just pay $34 and get 20 from desertcart. Ignore the mfg instructions to measure the tube - I did that and ordered the smaller 3/4" DS71-245. They're too narrow and just rattle around inside the leg. This larger size will sit flush with the edge of the tube and the prongs modified slightly as I will show you will hold it tightly in place. https://www.desertcart.com/dp/B076MJ8BBP. 4. Nefish Stem Caster Wheels 2 Inch, 8 Pack, Heavy Duty Threaded Stem Casters, UNC 3/8"-16 x 1" Swivel Casters Set of 4 with Safety Dual Locking Wheel for Furniture and Cart or any 3/8" - 16 x " caster. I found these were the lowest price for the quantity needed, and they look and work great. https://www.desertcart.com/dp/B0CXJ7MM61 Step 1: Take the leg inserts off the table. Remove the height adjustment knobs and pull the black plastic inserts out of the tube. You can pull on them using the attached casters and they slide right out. There are two in each leg - twelve in all. These inserts keep the height adjustment nuts in line. If you want to keep the ability to raise and lower the table you will need to modify six of the twelve. If not you can just set them aside and ignore the rest of this paragraph - you won't need the inserts for the new wheels. If you want height adjustment, cut off the end of the insert and smooth it flat using your Dremel or sandpaper or melt it with a butane torch (that's what I used) so it will fit back in the leg with the nuts aligned with the holes. You'll want to leave just enough plastic to hold the nut in place. Once I cut the ends, I used my butane lighter to melt down the rounded plastic end so it was flat. I just heated it and then quickly pressed it down to level it out on the flat wrench that came with my casters. This end will butt up against the end of the caster insert. Then you can put the other remaining insert back in on top of it. I'd also suggest screwing the height adjustment knobs back into the bottom insert so you don't knock it out of place when you're hammering in the caster insert. Step 2: Hammer down the star prongs on the caster insert as shown so you can get it started into the tube because they are a little too wide to fit as is. You can use a screwdriver or something to help hold it while you're hammering. Once you're able to put it part way into the leg - kind of leaning as shown, then you can hammer it in the rest of the way and the prongs will hold the insert tightly in place. They aren't going anywhere! I was able to do all six inserts in about 20 minutes once I figured out how much the prongs needed to be flattened. Then screw in your casters, put the legs back in your table, and you're done. The whole job took me about 40 minutes or less and cost about $30 for the casters and $34 for the inserts. I hope that this is helpful. Cheers!

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Are there wheel locks on the wheels so that the table doesn't move around while you are cutting?**
A: Studio Designs thanks you for the inquiry on our 13374 Sew Ready Hobby and Craft Table. Yes, this craft table is equipped with locking casters. Studio Designs thanks you for the opportunity to serve you.

**Q: Does this table wobble a lot? I bought a similar table and it wobbles horribly so i returned it.**
A: I have 3 and none wobble. It depends on how careful you are assembling them too though. I tend to be a bit of a perfectionist making sure the table edges line up exactly, and making sure I don’t over turn any bolts/screws. You also want to make sure the wheels are all completely pushed into the bottom. I hope this helps.

**Q: How easy it is to change the height of this table?**
A: If you have nothing on the table, it’s pretty simple, but if you do have things on it, you have to hold the table up to adjust the height so it can be heavy. The height adjustment works by unscrewing knobs in all 6 posts, lifting the main 1’ wide part of the table, and screwing the knobs back into pre-cut holes. You have to extend each one individually, I recommend lifting the main 1’ wide part, then screwing the knobs back in what would be a “star” pattern if there were more than 4 legs (like putting hubcaps on a tire), then going and lifting the two extending legs. If you consistently lift and lower the table, it might be too tedious, but if it is just to get it to the right height initially and adjusting it occasionally, it should work great. I love this table so much I bought 3 of them so I highly recommend them

**Q: Does the grooves it shows to fold down have a small indent in the table top?**
A: The fold down comes up flush with the table top.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Very Versatile Table
*by M***2 on June 30, 2023*

I purchased this table for a new craft room that I am making for myself. I do a lot of work with the Cricut making t-shirts and such. I had been coveting the tables that were bookcases with a top, which looked great, but were nearly $600. I am so glad I got this table instead, for many reasons. The most important difference is the adjustable height. This table can range from bar height to regular table height and everything in between! At first, I planned to make this an island like those table previously described. I envisioned it being wide open. After bringing it into the room, I decided it would look better collapsed and to the side of the room so I could press tshirts on it. In order to get the leverage I needed, the table needed to go all the way down. Then I felt I needed a little extra room for cutting vinyl after it is printed. No problem! I just opened half of the table and rotated my chair. Worked perfectly. The quality of the table is unexpected. It came without a scratch, dent or issue. It was better than what I expected. In terms of the build: I have never put furniture together in my life. Every time I start, it seems too hard and I make my husband finish it. I read the reviews that said it was easy to build, and I agree! I did 90% on my own. A few tips for those who are worried about it...you will need a Philips head screw driver that is not included. If you have an electric one, that will be nice, because there are about 48 screws to attach the hinges that make the table expand. I didn't have an electric and was able to do it without. Another thing that I luckily had read in another review was that the wheels are not all the same. There are 6 legs, 4 of which have locks and 2 that don't. Make sure you put the right one on the right leg. Another thing that was not clear was what to do with the wrench they included. When you attach the extra legs, there are bolts that by hand can only fit on the bottom. Take the included Allan wrench and hold the screw in place while you use the wrench to make that bolt meet the screw. Other than that, everything was well explained in the instructions. I highly recommend this table for it's versatility and quality of construction. The price is reasonable for what you are getting.
