DON'T. You'll be fine or at least your head will be sufficiently protected On November 24, 2024 I was involved in a severe motorcycle accident. I had a glancing blow with a car that pulled out in front of me and hit the ground at approximately 50mph. My helmet has 5 hairline cracks, but my head is fine. (My foot was crushed by the footpeg, but my head didn't have a scratch.) It is May 8, 2025 and I will be taking my first ride today. Unfortunately, I will be wearing my half helmet for this ride as I will need to get back to work before I can purchase another helmet. But when I do purchase a new helmet, it will definitely be this one. One new side note to the original review... This helmet is a bit noisy because the face shield vibrates quite a bit. To be honest it is just as noisy as not having a helmet at all, just a different kind of noise. But when you consider the price this should not be a factor for a biker on a budget.The helmet arrived 4 days ahead of schedule and as described. I ordered a small and it fits perfect except for one thing. While the helmet is plenty tight around my skull, I still have to pull the strap all the way tight. It's as if they use the same size strap for all size helmets. (If it wasn't for that I would give this 5 stars.) With that said, this helmet is a great value. It's very lightweight for the price point as well... 3lb 1oz.
