My daughter is extremely sensitive to how things feel, and this is the only brand that we have tried that is comfortable for her. I'm sad that it's so hard to find this brand nowadays. I hope they aren't going out of business. Love that these are made in the USA (however weirdly when we received this order, the packaging had Chinese writing on it...which made me wonder where exactly Amazon sourced these from)As for sizing - if you go by the height and weight chart you shouldn't have a problem finding the correct size. My daughter is 9 and wears a size 14 (she is very tall for her age and lean). I purchased the womens x small on a whim and kept my fingers crossed that it would fit...it did but just barely. It won't fit her in six months but since this is our first leotard purchase I can't say if it runs small or not. As the mom of a girl I worry about private areas potentially showing or bulging through and am happy to say that the crotch and bottom area of this leo fit really well. There is no bulging or gaps, it fits flush against the skin and doesn't slip no matter how she rolls, tumbles or flips. To me thats a big deal and something I appreciate greatly. The leo is very well made.
