It's got plenty of power behind it - i can easily cut through some thick branches with ease (like those pesky ones that just won't fit in the compost without being chopped up). The variable speed trigger lets you control the cutting speed, which is great for different types of material and tasks.One thing I really like about this saw is how compact it is. It's easy to hold and maneuver around branches or whatever else you need to cut (i once used it to cut through a metal pole too - worked like a charm). The tool-less blade change system is also a nice touch, making it quick and easy to swap out blades when needed.
