They are 7 inches long and have manually moving doors. They are not battery operated but do have a pull-back mechanism to propel them forward. They seem to be of decent quality -no parts have broken yet and he plays a little rough with his toys so that’s a plus. We had trouble finding decent trams that he could actually play with so we were ecstatic to find these. They have nice detail and overall are a good value for the money spent on them.
