Pride of Szeged Hungarian Style Sweet Delicacy Paprika (4 oz) and Hot Paprika (4 oz)

Szeged or how we call it Szegedin was our neighbor country. The paprika from Szegedin was always used because it was the best, sweet and hot. I remember that I had opportunity to purchase the same paprika in Farm Fresh stores, even in Food Lion it was frequently on the shelves. Today we don't have many options but to buy over the internet.

Excellent quality. Be aware of potency because one does not need much. For 5 pounds of beef making Hungarian gulash I used only 1 Tablespoon. I used 5 Tablespoons of sweet paprika also.

Flavor and freshness is good so what else could you ask for?

I've been using the hot paprika almost exclusively now. This is my new favorite paprika and I will definitely buy again.

Hungarian/eastern European paprika rules. I mean come on, Hungarians have a dish called "paprikash." This is a culture that knows their paprika and these are two excellent examples of a sweet paprika and a hot paprika. My only complaint is that there was some leakage when it shipped, so my my amazon shipment had a fine red dust over part of it. I would have dropped my review down to 4.5 stars for this, but not for the quality of the product.

This is a good basic Hot Paprika with strong flavor and scent. The Plastic can does not stay closed . The plastic pop up lids do not snap shut and open up on the shelf. I misread and thought I was getting two cans of hot but got one of each. I have not used the sweet yet.

Spice up your life, they told me. You’ll be fine they said. So I took a deep breath and got ready for my next steps. Then I purchased paprika. I am happy to report that the spice is in my life and things are better. All because of this product? The world may never know

I couldn’t tell when ordering what these were in. It looked like a package, but they are very large cans. I’m pleased! I haven’t cooked with it yet, but tasted it and seems great.
