I purchased 2x8GB and populated the empty slots for 32GB total RAM. The computer came with: SK Hynix HMAA1GU6CJR6N-XN. This was compatible to mix with that and get the 2933 Mhz motherboard limit. Note that it only worked when DIMM 1 & 3 were populated with the stock ram and DIMM 2 & 4 with the new Crucial RAM. In other mixes, the computer did not boot and gave a black screen.
