I learned that this harness isn't the one for cars that have the premium sound system (EX, SI). After some research I found out that you simply have to splice the remote wire (blue/white or blue) into the light blue wire on the factory harness to power on the factory amp and turn on the factory speakers. That didn't work for me either. I rewired it up with RCA's attached to the wiring harness to use my headunit's low-level line outs and that still didn't work. All this time my subs would be one and kicking but no sound in the car. SO after about a week of frustration and ripping out my dirvers seat to get to the factory amp, I just decided to purchase the Metra 70-1727 Factory Amplifier Bypass Harness for 2006 Honda Civic Vehicles which bypasses the amp altogether. For a regular civic owner I say go for this harness, but for a premium sound system, I say just get the amp bypass. No missing parts, so that’s a plus. All-in-all, would buy again.
