## Questions & Answers

**Q: It appears there are at least 3 products reviewed here so how can I trust your rating? I want to know if spray will calm my cat & if it is safe.**
A: After consulting my vet I decided against ordering this product, while she wasn't familiar with the product brand itself she said that geranium is a mildly toxic plant to cats and dogs, and the "calmness" could be side effects.
To me is a risk I am not willing to take with the health of my pets.
She suggested pheromone based calming products are usually safe , and to always check with products that are plant based (some plant extracts and oils can actually be fatal.

**Q: Why do most of the reviews on a page for relaxivet natural calming spray for cats and dogs about car seat covers?**
A: Amazon groups products together that it (probably a bot) thinks are related, for reviews. It’s a really bad practice but not the vendors’ fault.

**Q: Does the spray contain lavender?**
A: For anyone unaware, there are essential oils that are unsafe for cats (and dogs). It’s not the smell, it’s the oil, which can be quickly absorbed through cats’ skin if exposed to it (say by rubbing up against a spot that was recently sprayed with something that contains a cat-toxic oil) but their livers cannot get rid of those toxins, so essential oils can cause liver damage or even liver failure in large quantities.

**Q: Does this product have expiration date**
A: There is a date printed on the side of the bottle (mine is 3/2024) which I presume to be an expiration date.  I hope this helps!

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Cats don’t travel well??

I have two 7 year old Siamese siblings. They love us so much you can tell when we go visit family they don’t want us to leave them, especially since they have gotten older. They have gone with us before and Howled the entire 5hour drive. Not fun at all. Cats don’t travel well at all I have read in many articles. I was looking for anything that would help. The chews don’t work, but I ordered this calming spray and I sprayed it in their large carrier I use in our car or truck. A few meows the first trip then they settled right down, with only a few meows, not howls when the car hit a bump or curve they could feel. We have taken them three times now, each time going and coming back home they settle right down and enjoy. The trip. I will always use this spray to travel with them. Try it! It does work! I am well pleased.
