**Q: Original biofreeze had 3.5% menthol and 0.2% camphor. it worked great for me. why have they eliminated the camphor??!!**
A: Don’t know but it did nothing for my shoulder.
Did not relieve any pain.

**Q: Is it supposed to have chunks in it?**
A: The ones I have bought have not had “chunks” in them.

**Q: What are all the ingredients?**
A: I dont know it should all be listed on bottle however it didn't work for me. It wore off very quickly.

**Q: Does the roll-on flake off from the skin?  I have another brand and it does.  So I no longer use it.**
A: I’ve been using these roll ons for many years and never before had my sun peeled until now.  I’m thinking it’s the stronger amount of menthol they have in them.  It’s like the peeling you get when you Have a sunburn but without any burning pain.  It’s very strange.

This stuff is AMAZING!!! I have a slipped disc and several separated vertebrae which leaves me in a lot of pain. I take Neurontin and opiate pain meds and neither of them are ever enough management for my pain. Biofreeze is an absolute necessity in my life and I don’t know what I would do without it.For new users, please keep in mind that for some reason, it works best when there is added pressure to the affected are after applying. For instance, when I put it on my back I feel a light cooling sensation that gives a bit of pain relief. HOWEVER, when I sit with my back against the couch after applying, it amplifies the cooling sensation by 1000%, where it practically numbs my whole back. So apply. Then lay back, put on the tube or grab a good book and relax.One downside to this stiff is it does smell. My husband, who is very sensitive to smells says it burns his eyes. Another, is if you have back issues you will need someone to help you apply it. But other than that, I seriously don’t k know what I would do without it.For me it takes about a half hour to wear off. But even though I cant feel the menthol passed that point, I can still feel the pain relief. Most of the time it takes over an hour for my pain to get bad enough where I need to reapply. Also, keep in mind that even though it smells, the smell doesn’t really linger on clothes and furniture. So if you forget to put down a towel, don’t worry. In a couple days the smell will be gone.

I love Biofreeze Professional roll-on for pain. It works better than any topical I’ve tried for my lower back & hip pain. Perfect before bed to make sure I can sleep. Love the roll-on application to avoid messy hands. It does have a menthol scent when you first put it on and goes on wet, but it dries & dissipates in a few minutes.
