**Q: Can you make it left or right sided?**
A: Yes, you can make it left or right sided.  When you put it together, you determine which way the seat faces which is what determines whether it is left or right sided.

**Q: What is the clearance measurement under bench?  I have a tall tub and I want to be sure this is tall enough.**
A: I measured as best I could with legs in highest position. The clearance below the lowest point (the sliders on the seat that connect it to the frame sit lowest) is about 19 1/2. I'd say you probably want the tub height to be below 19"...maybe 19 1/4. Hope that helps!

**Q: how does one get into bathtub from seated position.**
A: The part that has the seat and back is the part that hangs over the bathtub. You sit on the seat and slide over into the tub. You have to swing your legs into the tub or lift the patient's legs into the tub. When the seat slides to the other side it has a clip that holds it in that position until the clip is released to slide back out of the tub (the seat slides side to side).

**Q: What is the length that it slides?**
A: Judy,  I measured mine.  The seat, which is 19 inches wide, slides about 15 inches in either direction.  The whole unit is about 36-38 inches wide, including the handles on either end.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Its well made but might not be for you

This is a fairly nice product. It is strong, well made, and easily assembled. I actually did not end up using it however and I will explain. I thought it would be a good item which would combine two functions, to go over the toilet to make it easier when I was using that, and to also use it for its intended function, namely to make it easier to get into the tub. I have a standard 60" cast iron tub and I can only access it from the right non-drain side, and I was unable to get this device to sit in a way where it straddled the tub to the floor. The slope of the tub made it so that, even while adjusting the legs, I could not get it placed into a position where I felt safe to slide onto it. It might work if you enter from the other left hand side of the tub where the water controls are, but this was not possible option for me. So it did not work for me for its primary application of getting in/out of tub. I did find that it worked placing it over the toilet and using it as a seat. The plastic toilet seat has a hole in it which allows access to using it as a toilet seat. I did not use this for a raised toilet seat however because I just thought it was awkward. I should say, the first thing I did was remove the chair backing, as there was no application where I found that useful. I wish today I could return the product, as I am recovered now thirty days later and did not use the product at all. However I did not feel right about that, because I thought and do think it was well made and well thought out, and I had held onto it for that reason. But in the end it is just something that tried to do too many things, and if you need a chair, get a chair, if you need access to the tub, then this not so great for that, and if you need a raised toilet seat maybe get one.
